Ikea has just launched a new TV ad, entitled ‘One Room Paradise’ which builds on an earlier interactive video devised to show storage solutions for smaller houses and apartments. The video, ‘Small Space Living Ideas’, provides viewers with the opportunity to explore “a typical, family home”, offering a 360-degree view of the house. Viewers are encouraged to visit specific rooms where they feel they need help with storage in order to pick up space-saving tips. John Lewis has also created their own video - ‘Small Living Space Solutions’ - which offers tips on furniture choice, room colour and room layout for smaller spaces.
Innovative ideas for making the most of smaller rooms include building cubbyholes into bathroom and kitchen walls during property renovation, creating customised cabinets around doorways and filling odd-shaped alcoves with shelves.

In this interactive film, created originally for IKEA FAMILY members, you can explore a typical, everyday home, choosing which areas to skip to for the small-space challenges you face.
