Last month French-American pastry chef Dominique Ansel opened the doors of his new, exclusive London bakery on Elizabeth Street in Belgravia. Ansel is famous as the inventor of the Cronut, a croissant-doughnut hybrid which was first served up at his bakery in Soho, Manhattan, in 2013.
Although others have attempted to serve versions of this iconic, trademarked pastry in London before, this is the first time the original creation has been made available. The Cronuts, priced at £4 each, were rationed out to customers, who were only allowed to purchase two each. Thankfully they could buy as many other products as they wanted so many ended up with bags full of goodies.
At Lurot Brand we have a range of exclusive Belgravia houses and apartments available to view - some within a short walk of Dominique Ansel’s mouthwatering pastry creations. So if you’d like to know more about properties for sale or rent in Belgravia, call us today.
Early risers queued from 5.20am today to get their hands on the holy grail of breakfast pastries: an original cronut.
