We've just celebrated the 20th Word Book Day on the 2nd March, and you may have seen crowds of kids on their way to school dressed up as their favourite book characters, from Harry Potter to Horrid Henry.
Now there is something book related in Marylebone aimed at a more grown-up crowd. The world-famous Daunt Books at 83-84 Marylebone High Street is hosting a two-day literary festival on 16th and 17th March.
As well as readings, signings, guest appearances by leading authors, discussions and a free walking book club around Regent's Park, local food favourites La Fromagerie, Rococo, The Ginger Pig, Honey & Co and The Monocle Café will be providing tasty treats in store to keep energy levels up.
To avoid disappointment, interested parties are encouraged to book a festival pass to guarantee access to all events. Contact the event organisers on 020 7224 2295 or visit dauntbooks.co.uk/festival for tickets and a full programme of events.
From March 16-17 the flagship store in Marylebone High Street will be buzzing with readings, signings and discussion with delicious treats for daytime talks supplied by local foodie favourites La Fromagerie, Rococo, The Ginger Pig, Honey & Co and The Monocle Café.
